Study in the UK

Internationally Acclaimed Universities

The UK offers a great variety of subjects to choose from. The degrees that the universities provide are held in high esteem throughout the world.

When it comes to job applications, no matter the industry you choose, a qualification from a UK university will help your CV stand out. The quality and renown of the British Education system will be recognised by your potential employer, increasing your chances of landing your dream job.

Career-Boosting Opportunities

You will have job opportunities even before graduation; international students can work a maximum of 20 hours weekly while studying in term-time. This opens up the chance for you to acquire an internship or part-time job. Through them, you can build connections in your industry of choice, and of course, earn money to support your studies.

Some courses will even provide you with support in finding an internship in your field. Work experience built up before graduating is sure to help distinguish you when applying for competitive positions.
With the graduate visa, international students can remain in the UK and work for two years after completing their qualification.

Financial Aid

There are many advantages financially that as an international student in the UK you could benefit from.

One thing to consider is that a degree in Britain can often take less time to complete when comparing to other countries. Undergraduate degrees take three years, and then a postgraduate qualification will take another year (some exceptions being medicine and architecture). Compared to many other countries, where undergraduate degrees can take four years, and postgraduate two or three, this is significantly shorter. Hence, less tuition fees overall.

During their studies, international pupils may also acquire additional financial support such as bursaries, grants or scholarships.

Home students can study for free and received up to £13,000 per year to help with their costs.

The National Health Service

International students can rest easy knowing the NHS extends their gratuitous services to them as well.

At most, there might be some additional cost when acquiring a visa, and you will still have to pay for your prescriptions if you can afford it. But ultimately, healthcare in the UK is far more affordable than many places abroad.

Multicultural Atmosphere

The unique appeal of the UK draws in many international students and migrant workers. This makes it the second most popular location to study abroad in the world.

This diversity has a strong impact on campuses across Britain. They are a thriving, diverse space where different cultures intermingle. In this environment, you can learn so much more than you would just through your studies.

Cultural Hub

If you are looking to be engaged, entertained and surrounded by an exciting cultural landscape, then studying in the UK is the best choice you could make. With citizens with deep ties to foreign cultures, the British landscape is alive with a wide variety of multicultural restaurants, busy nightlife and countless leisure centres.

Whatever your interests, you will find it here, whether it is the theatre, galleries, museums, bars, sports, or anything else you can think of! All while being surrounded by a vibrant multicultural atmosphere. Your life outside of studying will never be short of adventures, and you will gain a wealth of experience even outside of the lecture hall.

Easy Access to Europe

Living in the UK means having the whole of Europe just a short flight away. They are affordable too, meaning students will have easy access to Paris, Barcelona, Amsterdam and many other world-renowned capital cities. With multiple major airports, and high-speed railways to take you there, international travel becomes incredibly convenient.

But if airport security isn’t for you, you could always take a train through the English Channel Tunnel, connecting you to mainland Europe in just a few hours.

Student Finance England/Bursaries

With settled or pre-settled status UK, you can apply for help from Student Finance England (SFE), they can help with tuition fee loan and maintenance loan (which helps pay for rent, food and travel).

You will have to pay for the money you borrowed from SFE after graduating, but only if your income passes the threshold.

The amount you get depends on your household income, in which city you choose to study, and if you are on benefits.

SFE can offer grants to students who have dependents or who suffer from long-term health conditions.
